Creative Bloom Digital Agency

“Unleash the Genie, have the business you’ve always wanted”

I started working for Creative Bloom shortly after my undergraduate as a freelance SEO consultant and copywriter. As my work progressed with them, I was asked to join the company as a digital marketer and copywriter. I have since provided a range of services for their clients (and the agency itself), including a variety of content, copy and business strategies. I have also had the opportunity to involve myself in a number of other creative disciplines. My responsibilities have often covered video editing, image retouching, UX, WordPress web design, PPC and the intricacies of server-side SEO. I even designed and built Creative Bloom’s own website.

Website Design for Creative Bloom

As I was tasked with the redesign of the agency’s website, I began by switching their CMS  and servers, from SquareSpace (CMS and hosting) to WordPress and a dedicated host. After doing some research into the latest trends in ‘Digital’, I knew that to accurately reflect Creative Bloom’s ethos and style, the popular parallax site design was not going to be a suitable option.

I settled on an ‘animated and illustrative’ style, with a focus on simple and comforting imagery. The website itself was a very clean template with CSS providing the animations. The customisation of the template was relatively simple.

I sourced some illustrations and customised them (with Illustrator) so that they reflected the services that Creative Bloom offered (see picture above). I settled on flip boxes for the design of each of the specific sub-services.

Every single one of the boxes needed its own unique copy, as did the child pages that reflected the services further.

After completing (and providing with copy) 15 ‘service pages’, a ‘contact page’, a ‘team page’ and an ‘about page’, I had successfully completed the build of the site. During the staging process, I kept in mind my knowledge of SEO, so that the site was more or less technically optimised from the moment it was live.

Zero Waste Brighton

Part of Creative Bloom’s environmental work is their charity arm, Zero Waste Brighton. I have been lucky enough to work on the design, copy and marketing for their work with the charity SAS (Surfers Against Sewage).

Both of the events that I have worked on over the past 2 years have been hugely successful for the Sussex community and the agency.

Copywriting for Creative Bloom’s Blog

At Creative Bloom, I have been tasked (from time to time) with producing blog posts for both their digital blog and environmental blog.
